Trish is a very self-motivated, goal-oriented person. Acknowledged as an outstanding educator, Trish has established herself as an innovator by developing new trends in many areas of her career. She is a tremendous organizer, with a keen ability to focus on the task at hand. These skills assisted her in graduating from the University of Victoria with a five-year, Bachelor of Education Degree; she was the top student in her class. Early in her career, Trish began to receive recognition for her outstanding abilities to excel. While working towards her Bachelor's Degree, Trish was involved in many unique and exciting projects at the university. Whether teaching a communications seminar, developing new curriculums, or working as a teaching assistant for a second-year Educational Psychology class, Trish's knowledge of the subject matter, as well as her astute teaching skills, warranted praise from the professors involved. One of these special assignments included the refining of a Mastery Learning based curriculum for 200+ students. Trish became the preferred candidate for many other assignments, including instructing peers in writing and evaluating behavioral objectives. Leading the field by pioneering new trends is not a new concept for Trish. While full-time teaching, she instituted a program within her classroom that left her colleagues surprised at her approach. Despite their apprehensions, she persevered, to the great benefit of her class. The results were amazing. Not only did the students feel important because of the individual recognition created from the innovative concept, but parents thrilled at the individual attention given to their children. Motherhood brought new challenges to Trish in the field of education. When it was time for her children to attend school, she faced dissatisfaction with the public schools in her community. Thus, she applied the same proven sensitivity developed at the university, to her own children, through a trail-blazing concept- home schooling. At that time, this approach was not recognized as a viable alternative to the public system. Thus, adopting it required intense effort on her part. With time, and due diligence, it became a reality. Her peers have always recognized her as an outstanding teacher - one who uses methods that allow children, teenagers and adults to not only identify with the material being presented, but also to apply it. Trish's proficiency with languages was a valuable asset when she served as an international volunteer in the country of Taiwan for 20 months. Her self-discipline and commitment to the task at hand led not only to amazing fluency with the Mandarin Chinese language, but also to leadership assignments amongst her peers. A dedicated and respected volunteer, Trish has spent countless hours in willing service to others. She has honed her skills to a point where she is in demand for leadership roles in a variety of settings. Life has thrown Trish many curves. She has experienced heartache and despair, but they haven't defeated her. Unknowingly, she has been a proficient student in learning the fundamentals that form FaithSkills. She is excited to be appointed as the Executive Managing Editor of Sage Support Services, Inc. - a company whose programs give new life and hope to many who are motivated to overcome the struggles of life, and achieve unrealized levels of success.
